How It Works

Each Single-Card Draw and Three-Card Spread has its card or cards chosen at random from a full deck of Tarot cards. Each card has 42 unique messages written from its point of view, and one of these messages is randomly selected to appear with the card when it is drawn. These 42 messages are divided into three categories with 14 messages each: Fortunes, Advice, and Caution.

When two or more cards in a Three-Card Spread have matching energies, a Bonus Fortune appears for each match. When a match occurs an additional Fortune appears, which is based on the associations and meanings of the matching energy. The energies are separated into the following categories: Number, Element, Sign, Stone, Animal, and Planet.

When a Fortune comes true or a message proves useful or prescient, record its Bonus Letter and collect them over time to decode additional messages from the cards. You may need to re-arrange them, and Bonus Letters are only consonants so you must add the vowels that feel right or make sense. Try piecing together individual words one or two at a time, then see what sentences or impressions end up forming.

Your Daily Oracle challenges you to interpret the images or feelings of the cards, and use their numbers and letters to make guesses about your day. The Oracle also uses your own information, such as your birth month, and time-dependent information, such as the current day of the week, to always give personalized and unique results.

A Tarot Deck has 78 cards and, like a deck of playing cards, each card has a number and a suit (in Tarot the suits are also known as elements).

Four of the elements (Wands, Swords, Cups, and Pentacles) have one card each of the numbers 1 through 10, as well as four court cards (Page, Knight, Queen and King) which are numbered 11 through 14, for a total of 14 cards per suit. Together these 56 cards are known as the Minor Arcana.

The final element, Spirit, is also known as the Major Arcana. It has 22 cards, numbered 0 through 21.

Each card, element, number, and rank have many meanings, associations, and interpretations that were used to craft the 42 messages from that card’s point of view.

Each card in the Tarot deck has a Number and an Element. Each card can also be associated with a Sign, Stone, Animal and Planet based on connections between the meaning of that card and the elements of those categories. These classifications have been made such that the cards are equally distributed among the members of each category. There are a total of 14 Numbers, 5 Elements, 12 Signs (the Zodiac), 12 Stones (the Birth Stones associated with each month), 9 Animals, and 7 Planets (the 7 classical planets).
